Default Brilliant.

I see Guild Wars is out... and like most people I've talked to, I decided to buy it on a whim.

I haven't been waiting anxiously for months, I just decided to grab the game and give it a try.

I start to get excited after installation... then I enter my info and "ER=4".

What?

So I go check the official forums, the place every other MMO or even normal game in the world has for people to go for help and information.

What's this? Oh, these guys decided not to have an official forum... so I find this place.

Now I'm reading and reading... nobody else except some guy on IGN is complaining about ER=4.

Finally I see a post in here about the servers not coming up for TWO MORE F**KING DAYS?

What sort of prepubescent company puts a game out TWO FULL DAYS before their servers come up?

Is this a joke?

I just spent my $50 to give their game a try, and I can't even use it for 2 days.

Is this to give people 2 days less to return the game before the store refuses it back?

What a joke.

I'm sure there are thousands and thousands of very angry peoplein the US right now with a game that they CAN'T play.

Great start to a MMO that most people are already afraid to try...

And nice error screen... instead of "servers will be up in 2 days" it tells me "ER=4," couldnt even put the whole word "ERROR" for computer-newbs.

I expect a lot of angry people will be returning this game cause "it doesnt work."

The store clerks certainly didnt tell me about this and the damned game box sure as hell didn't either.

*applaud*

At least it's not like other MMO's where you struggle to log in but the servers crash.. these guys just aren't bringing the servers up to begin with.

See you in game in TWO DAYS if I decide to keep the game (which I'm probably not, because I bought it on a whim and was hoping to log in for a quick fix and end up liking it and sticking with it... whims don't last 2 days)

Dissapointing, and very immature on the GW team's part. Almost insulting.

well, if you actually read up on what was going on you would know that some stores are selling the game before the official date.

Pre-orders can log in on the 27th.
Everyone else the 28th and after.

Today's Date? the 26th

have fun

actually you're the first i've heard mention it...

...just wait for 48 hours...smoke some dope...sleep some...

some countries must have shipped it earlier than others...I don't see a Guild Wars anywhere here in the UK

oh yeah...and preorders can just go and log in tomorrow...one full day early O.o;
so its not really a surprise they're selling it today for opening tomorrow...seems logical to me

Wow Cronuss. Get over your sence of entitlement. If you were "waiting" to get the game, you should have gotten a preorder and you could play tonight.

Check Release dates before you try to play. It is the Store's fault for selling it to you early so chill out hater.

Why dont you read the forums before posting? if you would read all information you would understand that the game does not start until thursday, wednesday for us who pre-oredered. Before you start ripping a game apart do a little research, where the answer could of been found well before you finished this rant.

First of all, it's not ArenaNet's fault but the store's fault. In fact, most stores should have not sold copies of this game untill the 28th.

You wrote your post in textpad, didn't you?

Most MMOs don't open up servers untill the official release of the game. So you buy the game two days before the offical release and expect to play it instantly. Don't blame the game for your store deciding to sell the game to you early. If you want to go complain go back to the store you bought it and complain how you got the game before the release.

And yes you are the only person that has complained about this.

(sorry if I was rude at all but, i really don't like when people complain about thing like this)

Oh and next time try asking a question nicely and maybe you would get some nicer responses back.
